Interlude - Temporary Thought #2

The weather was fair, just like my heart was.
It was a usual, mere afternoon in Universitas Indonesia.
Class was over, and I was ready to go home. A bit cloudy, but not gloomy.
I took a step, and I was so prepared to leave the faculty.
Just like everyday, taking some miles to get to a hectic road to get on a bus.
But I never thought that the twenty minutes ordinary walk would give me an extraordinary consciousness of living. Never once...

I saw people walking the same direction as I did.
We all walk. We started life.
I saw people walking; in front of me, also behind me.
We live, but we're not alone.
I walked across the boulevard.
We cross our path, and we change our state.
I saw a girl with brochures.
We encounter people that may divert our march.
I began to sweat.
Sometimes, life is just exhausting.
I saw people queuing for a ticket. Train.
Therefore, we might do efforts to be fast.
I walked across the railway and left the station.
And our decisions of leaving home are sometimes dangerous.

I saw attracted buyers.
Perhaps, we could be fascinated so deeply to a thing.
And some sellers are trying to hold the price.
But the cost is sometimes immovable.
I continued, and I found deserted shops and bored shopkeepers.
We, then, continue our lives waiting alone for some fortunes.
I picked up the pace, I was almost there.
That homesickness after toils and failures... "I want to go home."

But some people walking slowly on my way.
It obstacles our struggle to get home.
However, I managed to get to the main road.
Slowly, we're almost there.
I just needed to wait for the bus.
The coming of someone is all we need to get home.
Standing for half an hour or so...
and we wait, again, for the ride to pick us up.
And finally the bus comes.
And it does. It picks our souls.
And I know I'm in the right bus.
Are you sure that you're going to the right home?
