Before We Go Our Ways
Probably that's the way it all goes,
How every being with reason and conscience lives.
Catching tales and breathing memories,
Snapping in vanity images of happiness and sorrow.
Tis' a blessing and a curse,
When color breaks and blurs,
The moment memories are gone,
The time all is said and done.
The path seemed long, my friend.
But the fun steals away the walk.
And I doubt it will ever bend -
The presence of strangers, future folks.
But Chronos ticks, and the night is o'er
Chronos tocks, and the day is no more.
And not a soul shall eternally store
The moments within the previous doors.
And so we proceed,
Following where the four-leaf trail leads.
To a brave new world depart,
To a sunrise our strides restart.
So so long, dear wingless angels.
I've had a foretaste of rest and paradise.
And tell me this is never a farewell,
For in your souls my heart ever truly lies.
